That’s right.

Some of the best dreaming we can do is daydreaming.

So when was the last time you had a good old daydream?

Whether it was 5 minutes, 5 days or 5 years ago- it’s time to do it again.

This is very important work!

Daydreaming can give you ideas for a direction, plan or purpose.

Dream BIG! The bigger you get, the more opportunity to use the material later.

Write, write, write it down on paper or in a journal but save it somewhere safe.

Going forward this manifesto, if you will, becomes a very important document! VERY!

I will show you how to use this later – you just start daydreaming and writing it down.

Some thoughts to get you started:

Who are you/ who do you want to be?

What are some of your biggest wishes?

Who/what is your secret alter ego?

If you had unlimited amounts of money what would you do?

Sweet dreams and remember…Dream Big!

I would love to read your Daydreams! Please share them in the comments below.

Need some help? Ask away.

She is my sister in joy though and we have enjoyed sharing and getting to know each other in the world of social media. Maybe one day she and I will meet IRL! Thank you Samantha.

The (new) Family of things.

by Samantha Honey-Pollock

“Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting –
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.”

-Mary Oliver, Wild Geese.

Have you, like me, discovered a deep and world-resilient joy from meeting like-minded friends online? If so, I know you’ll feel connected to my sharing here. It’s lovely to meet you, by the way! Perhaps we were meant to be connected…

Since meeting Stacy, I’ve been able to take my understanding of the word “family” to a wonderful new level of consciousness- beyond who we share our home with, those we see on the holidays, who we speak to on the phone or even to who we write emails and letters to.

I count myself & Stacy as family in the harsh and exciting world of social media- a silver web as invisible & strong as the spider’s weave. From regarding her comments, her responses to mine, moments browsing where I spotted her status and feel goosebumps of resonation, her tumblr pics- eerily familiar in an I think I’ve dreamed these before kind of way… it’s become a spider web of ever embracing familiarity.

It was through Mary Oliver’s poem this familiarity was sealed; as, one night, we echoed back and forth via messenger lines from the poem “Wild Geese”; each quietly thrilled that the other knew it by heart as it was so dear to herself.

We are oceans apart, may never meet. But I trust Stacy with my heart as I would family. I hope she does me, too: it’s a little understanding that’s bound by all we have in common, an unspoken, invisible promise to continually love and uplift one another. We won’t always be present- heck, one of us might even decide to go offline permanently (shudder at the thought)! But like family; we are Always. Out there. Somewhere. Pure benevolence. High in the clean blue air.

“You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
For a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about your despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting –
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.”

-Mary Oliver, Wild Geese.

Water rushes over rocks, jagged old logs and the crusty, frozen land.

Bubbling and splashing, it makes a turn halfway around a mighty old oak ready to topple into its path.

The early morning sun shines brightly against a crystal blue backdrop. Off in the distance I can hear birds taking flight and calling to their friends.

From the opposite side of the river comes a large figure flapping graceful wings and playing in the thermals created by the contrast of icy, cold water and sun warmed air.

A pure white head reflects the days light.

As I look up to notice, her pace quickens and, head first, she dives toward the water and plucks out a large silvery fish.

In an instant the bird disappears from view.

Calmed by her presence, I wonder why I was chosen.

I feel blessed and different, her gift bestowed upon me like a crown worn proudly by a new queen.

As if paralyzed, I stand and wait for her return.

She had a different task in mind, to savor her fresh caught prize.

I imagine how satisfied and rewarded she must feel.

The water sings and soothes me as I turn to walk away, new, reborn, and ready for my days work, wondering when I will again return to this tranquil river.
